We want to help you engage your community on the Coastal Rail Resiliency Study (CRRS)!
The Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) is conducting the Coastal Rail Resiliency Study (CRRS). The train tracks between Dana Point and the county line serve commuters, tourists, freight transportation, and the Department of Defense. The CRRS is evaluating strategies to protect the railroad in place for up to 30 years along seven miles of critical coastal track between Dana Point and San Clemente, at the San Diego County line. We heard from the community in July 2025, now we invite you to help us spread the word about our upcoming public meetings. These meetings will provide the latest study updates and an opportunity to share input on the short- to mid-term refined alternative concepts.
The study team will be holding two (2) public meetings: a virtual meeting on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, and an in-person meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Both meetings will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will include simultaneous Spanish interpretation. To help us share information and engage with your community, we have prepared copy-and-paste-ready text and downloadable graphics, which can be shared on social media, eblasts, and on websites.
